IPCC recommendations shape national guidance on custody handling

The IPCC has worked with the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) on the second edition of the ACPO Guidance on the Safer Detention and Handling of Persons in Police Custody, which was released in March 2012.
